The vendor liability program provides $1 million per occurrence in both general and product liability coverage. The premium extends coverage to all markets that the vendor participates in, so long as each market is disclosed on the insurance application form. In addition, the premium will provide unlimited additional insured certificates.
The vendor liability program covers farmers and vendors ONLY at farmers markets and not roadside stands or other marketing venues. It offers coverage to a wide range of products but does EXCLUDE wine or any alcohol products. Meat and fish are also excluded.
The vendor and market policies, negotiated as a group, are available from April 1st each year and extended until March 31st of the following year. Premiums are due up front and once coverage is extended the premium is fully earned.
