Description: Greenmarket is a program of the Council on the Environment of New York City, a privately funded not-for-profit organization. Greenmarket organizes and manages 59 outdoor farmers' markets throughout New York City. All market participants grow, raise or produce all their market items in the local region.

Harlem Harvest Farmers Market (HHFM 1) is a festive “open air market” located on Malcom X Blvd (Lenox Avenue and West 155th St.). The mission of HHFM 1, which is sponsored by Diversity Child Care Providers Assn., is to serve as a source for a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables; complementary products such as flowers, herbs and baked goods; and quality arts and crafts marketed directly to consumers at affordable prices. HHFM operates every Saturday from 8 - 4 PM to provide farm fresh, locally grown product and locally produced products of local entrepreneurs.

Harlem Harvest Farmer Market II was assumed from Greenmarket, the largest operator of farmers markets in NYC, and is located on 125th Street and 7th Avenue in the heart of Harlem’s commercial district. This market operates every Tuesday during July to November. The Harlem Harvest Farmers Markets have been granted two awards – a Neighborhood Development Achievement Award from the NYC Office of the Mayor and a recognition award from NYC Department of Small Business Services.
